What a voice! It seems quite unbelievable that this bleak Scandinavian musician can sing like this. But Bernhoft can! The 33-year old has devoted himself to bluesy Soul and Funk. But he's no cheap imitator. Bernhoft lives the music, he breathes it. Working with loop and sampling stations, he manages to create complex arrangements.
On “Ceramik City Chronicles”, his last album, Jarle Bernhoft sings about his inexplicable love for Oslo. A city, which he finds himself mysteriously drawn to. His new album 1:Man, 2: Band, was just released on January 25th.
